Join Us For a Hymnal Project Overview

On Wednesday, September 27th at 7:00 pm the Christian Women's Leadership Circle will be hosting a presentation entitled "Hymnal Project Overview" by Pastor Michael Schultz.

Pastor Schultz currently serves as director for the WELS Hymnal Project. The CWLC's sponsorship of this presentation is especially timely as we look forward to celebrating the 500th anniversary of the Reformation. The first Lutheran hymnal appeared later, in 1524 with only eight hymns and Luther wrote four of them!

Pastor Schultz is uniquely gifted to lead the WELS Hymnal Project with his skills in composition, technology, translation and original poetry. Pastor Schultz will share with us the current status on his and the committee's work. Pastor Aaron Christie, who serves at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Waukesha, will provide musical accompaniment. There is no charge for CWLC Members, spouses, family or friends for this event but we do request that you RSVP (by September 14th) to Joan Vehlow, 262-548-0421, or cwlc.info@wlc.edu. A reception with free-will offering will follow.

The presentation will take place at the Schwan Concert Hall, in the WLC Center for Arts and Performance. Parking is available in the WLC parking center at 8701 W. Wisconsin Avenue, just east of  the Center for Arts and Performance.
