Growing Through Motivation

Motivation is a theoretical construct used to explain behavior. It represents the reasons for our actions, desires and needs in our careers, ministry and service. This workshop will present an opportunity for participants to explore their motivated skills and use these skills as a platform to determine sweet spot(s), developmental areas, and burn out skills. This basic principle will provide an opportunity for participants to grow in their confidence and competence as you engage in everyday commitments and activities.

Dionne will facilitate an interactive activity where participants assess proficiency and motivation in over 50 transferable skills areas. These findings will help determine the motivated skills that are essential to personal and career satisfaction and success.

Dionne Grayson is a visionary leader who has dedicated her life’s work to empowering youth and strengthening the organizational capacity of institutions in the Milwaukee area. Serving as President and CEO of Lead2Change, Dionne’s work is driven by her passion to see youth manifest their destiny. Through Lead2Change and her patented program, Dream.Explore.Build., Dionne empowers youth to live their life by design and not by default. Dionne’s tenacity for youth leadership programming has earned her many accolades, including being named a 2017 Women of Influence (Mentor category) by The Milwaukee Business Journal.

Dionne received her undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology from Alverno College and her graduate degree in Social Work Administration from UW-Milwaukee. Dionne has served youth for more than 20 years and has consulted with several organizations, including the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, Marquette University and 88Nine Radio Milwaukee. Prior to founding Lead2Change in 2011 along with 12 youth co-founders, Dionne served as a Senior Program Officer at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation. She is married and resides in Milwaukee.

Growing Deeper With Jesus

Maybe you’ve longed to be like a tall, elegant tree but you’re more of a cute shrub. Maybe you’re experiencing a season of drought. God created you beautifully unique and if you’re rooted in Him you can thrive whatever the season. Rachel encourages women leaders in their walk with Jesus, and shares practical skills for confidently staying grounded in God’s promises.

Rachel Greiner strives to live the motto, "Be the change you wish to see in the world." Her pro-life experience and passion for empowering others have led her to speak to groups across the US and in South America. She has also been featured on national radio. Rachel is Education & Programs Director at WELS Lutherans for Life in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Growing Through Mentoring

Anna Reinemann will share her positive stories of mentorship and partnership with both from men and women who mentored her. She will discuss some of the difficulties and blessings of being a young woman in a leadership position in a predominantly male world.

Anna believes that each Christian woman is uniquely needed in her context, because all the parts of Christ’s body are needed – some women are entrusted with the skills to start programs, organize community relief efforts, minister to the sick, lead bible studies, steward church resources, or evangelize. She will encourage women to build their competence and confidence as they seek solid encouragement from mentors to sustain and grow their God-given work.

Anna Reinemann grew up in Japan as the daughter of Lutheran missionaries. At age 29, she has a wide range of experiences serving people. She graduated from Pepperdine University in 2012. She has volunteered by serving homeless children on LA’s Skid Row, with tsunami relief efforts in Japan, and through a Fulbright grant mentoring institutionalized children in Romania. In 2014, Anna moved to the White Mountain Apache reservation in Arizona, to work alongside families to start church-based community improvement programs through Kingdom Workers, a global Lutheran NPO. While on the reservation, she had the privilege of working closely with pastors, ministry leaders, and hundreds of volunteers. She assisted with raising up local leaders and developing local leadership structures. She was married to Chester in February 2019, and is currently finishing her master’s degree in Social work through Arizona State University.

Growing in Your Uniqueness

In this session, Laura explores the science behind what makes women unique. Women are created by God with biological, neurological, and physical traits that make us effective leaders and able to empower others in our care. She will share practical implications for our uniqueness that will give women in leadership confidence in who God made them to be and where he has placed them to lead.

Laura Reinke has served as an adjunct professor of psychology at Wisconsin Lutheran College for 5 years and is also an urban school counselor with WLCFS-Christian Family Solutions. With the many demands on her time, she relies on the comfort of Philippians 4:13, “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”

Laura is married to her husband Matthew, and they have three teenagers, Sam, Josh and Dan. She has been active in youth ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waukesha for over 10 years.

Growing in Your Strengths

If you have the opportunity to influence someone, research suggests you are a leader! Leaders are people of character, who lean into who God made them to be. In this interactive workshop you will explore how to identify your God-given strengths. Rhoda will share how to maximize your strengths as you set goals, work through conflict, and positively influence others as you make an impact on God’s Kingdom!

Dr. Rhoda Wolle is the Dean of Student Success and an Associate Professor of Education at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee. She received her BS in Education from Martin Luther College, New Ulm, MN. She was awarded an MA in Education with special emphasis on at-risk students from Marian University, Fond du Lac, WI. She earned her PhD in Educational Psychology from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN. Rhoda has spoken internationally to thousands of educators, parents, and teens on the topic of education, student success, thriving, and leadership. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, music, golf, sailing, and walking her dog Kipper.
